SnV brings together chemical engineering, polymer science, manufacturing systems, sustainability compliance, and business strategy under one practice — because the problems worth solving rarely stay within a single discipline.
SnV is an independent engineering and strategy advisory practice. The partnership was formed by professionals whose backgrounds span technical disciplines and business functions — a combination that reflects a deliberate conviction: that engineering problems have strategic consequences, and strategy problems have engineering ones.
The practice operates without a tiered staffing model. There are no analysts running frameworks in the background, no junior teams assembling slide decks, and no handoff between the people who scope an engagement and a different team that delivers it. The partners who assess a problem are the same partners who work through it.
Partner profiles and credentials will be published as the firm develops its public presence. Enquiries about the team's background relative to a specific engagement are welcomed directly.
Advisory work earns its value when it changes something — not when it produces a document that describes what could be changed. SnV was built on a set of convictions about how serious advisory work should be done. These are not marketing positions. They are the standards against which every engagement is measured.
Independence is not a selling point — it is a condition. SnV does not hold software licences, supplier relationships, or commercial arrangements that create an incentive to recommend particular tools, methods, or vendors. Recommendations are based on the engineering and commercial evidence, nothing else.
The presenting problem is rarely the real one. Most briefs arrive shaped by internal assumptions about what is causing a problem. Part of SnV's work is to test those assumptions before accepting the brief at face value. A client who receives a precise answer to the wrong question has not been well served.
Deliverables are a means, not an outcome. A report, a roadmap, or a compliance package has value only if it can be acted on. SnV's measure of a successful engagement is whether the client is in a materially better position as a result of the work — not whether a document was delivered on schedule.
Senior involvement is not optional. The partners assess the problem, design the approach, do the analytical work, and present the findings. This is not a model that scales to hundreds of simultaneous engagements. It is a model that produces consistently rigorous work on the engagements SnV takes on.
Honesty before the engagement begins. If a client's problem falls outside SnV's competence, or if the scope cannot be delivered to the required standard within the proposed constraints, SnV will say so before a proposal is signed. A short, honest conversation is more valuable than a long, disappointing engagement.
Engagements are scoped against a specific problem and a defined outcome. SnV does not propose broad mandates when a narrower scope would serve the client better. The first step is always to understand the problem precisely — before any proposal, any fee, and any commitment on either side.
A typical engagement follows a straightforward sequence. What changes from one engagement to the next is the content, the complexity, and the domain — not the standard of rigour applied.
Initial conversation
A 30-minute call with no deck and no proposal. The purpose is to understand the problem as it actually exists.
Problem definition
If the conversation suggests SnV can help, a short written scoping note follows — defining the problem, the proposed approach, the deliverable, and the fee.
Analytical work
The partners do the work. This may involve site visits, process data review, simulation, regulatory analysis, or stakeholder interviews.
Findings and recommendations
The output is calibrated to what the client can act on — a recommendation with a clear rationale, not a comprehensive survey of everything that could theoretically be improved. Implementation support is available where it adds value.
